Fr. Clark Stiteler
Parochial Vicar
Saint John Paul II reflects that "Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure." That is the truth. And, how the Lord has worked in my life has been nothing short of that wonderful adventure.
I was born in Carlisle and raised by my loving parents in our home along the banks of the Conodoguinet Creek in Camp Hill. Growing up I was the youngest of three boys. My childhood was centered around family and friends, going to Church on Sunday mornings, and playing team sports, mostly soccer, basketball, and baseball.
As far as school, I graduated from Trinity High School and then moved on to La Salle University in Philadelphia. After graduation, I worked for a year and then entered Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh. Despite being an attorney for about seven and half years, the Lord had even greater plans for my life.
After encountering Jesus' infinite mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Lord invited me to consider the priesthood. It was something I had never really thought about before, but every time I brought it to prayer, a sense of peace and joy was in my heart.
The Lord called me to Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. I prayed and studied there for our great Diocese for six great years. And, on June 7, 2025, I was ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ. Saint John Paul II also reflects that the priesthood is both a gift and a mystery. That is the truth. I am humbled to serve in this role...all for the greater glory of God.
