The Diocese of Harrisburg’s annual Remembrance Mass for Child Loss will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Seven Sorrows Parish in Middletown. This is an opportunity for families to grieve the loss of their child(ren) and find support and healing with others who share the same cross. The loss of a child at any age is a devastating cross to bear. Join us at Seven Sorrows Parish for a special Mass of remembrance and prayer, followed by a light reception and information about Red Bird Ministries. If you would like your child’s name remembered during Mass, please include it when registering.
Mass begins at 10:00 AM. To register or learn more, visit www.hbgdiocese.org/event/remembrance-mass-for-child-loss/.
Hallow

It’s Day 3 of the “Rebuild My Church” challenge with our incredible guides, Fr. Mike Schmitz from the Bible in a Year, director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth, and Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, President of Franciscan University! This challenge isn’t like anything we’ve ever done before. It’s 7 days of reflecting on the powerful words that Jesus spoke to St. Francis of Assisi centuries ago: “Go. Rebuild My Church.” St. Francis initially set off to repair a crumbling chapel when Jesus spoke to him, only to realize He was talking about something much bigger … the hearts of His people.
I already have a Hallow account. How do I access SJN's parish page?
Everyone is invited to be a part of our parish community page. There, you can create a profile, add friends, share/respond to prayer intentions, and take part in prayer challenges with the parish. The steps are simple:
To join the parish page: Tap “Church” on the menu at the bottom of your screen > Select “Join a Church” > Search for our parish by typing "17601." Hallow has corrected our parish name from "Saint" to "St." when searching by name. However, it is best to search by zip code (17601).

Faith Formation

Faith Formation Continues
It was another busy Sunday for Faith Formation at St. John Neumann! Our catechists gathered with the children for their regular classes, while our third grade students had the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Meanwhile, parents gathered in the cafeteria for our adult faith formation session. Although we had planned to begin Into the Breach, some unexpected audio difficulties had other plans! After our opening discussion, parents enjoyed a little extra time for fellowship over coffee and donuts.
Confirmation Prep is moving right along as well, and we are grateful to all of the families, catechists, and volunteers who continue to make our Faith Formation programs possible.
We look forward to gathering again for our next Faith Formation meetings on Sunday, October 18! Whether we are learning together, growing in faith, sharing a cup of coffee, or simply getting to know one another better, we are grateful to have our families walking this journey with us.
Parish Health Ministry (PHM)
In preparation for Mental Health Sunday, October 11th, the Mental Health Ministry team invites parishioners to share personal intentions or petitions related to mental health and SUD—whether for themselves, loved ones, caregivers, or those seeking healing. All prayer intentions welcomed.
Intentions may be written in the Book of Prayer located on the Mental Health Awareness Bookshelf.
This book will be placed by the altar beginning October 10th. These intentions will be held in prayer throughout the week of 10/10-10/18.
Save the date: 10/18/26 Vaccination clinic
