Faith Formation

ree

This past Sunday, we officially began our Faith Formation year (formerly known as Religious Education), and what a wonderful start it was! The gathering was very well attended, and it was a joy to see so many families reconnecting with one another while sharing coffee and donuts.

We are blessed with an incredible team of catechists this year, each bringing their own gifts and enthusiasm to the program. A special highlight is having Fr. Stiteler join our 7th-grade class—he offers something truly unique and keeps the students engaged with his insights and stories. All of our catechists are filled with the Holy Spirit and eager to begin this journey with the children.

Together with our dedicated team, Nate and Erin are excited to walk alongside families throughout this year of Faith Formation. In Pre-K through 6th, our focus is on the Kerygma (the core message of the Gospel) as God’s love letter to us. We look forward to a year of growing together in faith, hope, and love!

Parish Health Ministry (PHM)

This month, the Pope’s prayer for Mental Health is for our relationship with all of creation. Spending time in nature and appreciating its beauty can be a source of rejuvenation that helps our mental health and draws us closer to God. Pope Leo XIV has said, “we can experience that harmony with creation which brings healing and reconciliation.” We can draw closer to God and care for our mental health by taking time to by walk with Christ in the beauty of creation. Pray for our relationship with all of creation so that both our mental health and our faith will be enriched.

SJN Mental Health Ministry Spiritual Support Group will Meet on Monday September 15 at 10am in the Youth room.  All are welcomed.
