Respect Life Ministry Leaders are cordially invited to attend a Respect Life Ministry Gathering on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Diocesan Center, 4800 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, PA. This gathering will provide the opportunity to learn about Respect Life ministry in the Diocese and to share in fellowship with one another.

Dinner will be offered from 5:30-6:30 pm. Following dinner, from 6:30-8:30 pm, presentations will be shared by the Life & Dignity Office, Communications Office, Culture & Outreach Office, A Woman's Concern, Lancaster, and the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference. There will be opportunities for sharing and group discussion. Parishes are welcome to send more than one Respect Life Ministry representative.

Please RSVP to Brenda Estremera-Garay at BEstremeragaray@hbgdiocese.org by Sunday, August 29th. For planning purposes, please indicate if you will be joining us for dinner. If you have any questions or dietary concerns, please include them with your RSVP. Should your parish not currently have an active Respect Life Ministry, please share this invitation with one or two people that could attend to represent your parish. Thank you.

Youth Ministry

Thank you to the large crowd that showed up for my last SJN YM meeting! That made it even more special. During adoration that evening with the teens, I was reflecting and realized that I have grown closer to Jesus during my time at SJN, and that, by His Grace working through this ministry, the teens, chaperones, and YM families have grown closer to Jesus as well. That was my primary goal, and I thank God and all of our prayerful supporters for helping us to achieve that goal. As a reminder, YM events are still scheduled, so I pray that you plan to keep attending. Know of my prayers. God bless!

Faith Formation

All in-person and at-home families, Pre-K through 6th, are scheduled to meet in the school gym on September 7, at 10:00 AM, for orientation. Students will receive their books and meet their catechists!

Parents of 7th and 8th-grade Confirmation Prep students meet on September 7 at Noon in the school gym for orientation. Students will meet with their catechists.

Parish Health Ministry (PHM)

Grief Share will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 . Sessions will run through November 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sessions meet each week in the library.

Participants are kindly asked to register at 717 569-8531 x229, and a $10 contribution will be received at any of the first three sessions. This will assist in offsetting the cost of the $20 workbooks that are provided to each participant.
